Different measurement and production methods at the V-belt manufacturers result in different length specifications across manufacturers.
However, these differences do not affect the functionality of the belts.

Due to different industrial standards, different parameters are used to determine the length specifications.
A distinction is made between external length (Le for short), internal length (internal length, Li for short) and effective length.
The effective length describes the length measurement at approx. 3/4 height of the belt in accordance with DIN 2215.
Furthermore, the belt tension specified by the vehicle manufacturer must also be included for reliable length measurement, as this is also an important factor in the production process.

Due to these different measurement methods, different V-belt dimensions from different manufacturers can occur in one and the same vehicle.
